Angry squeaking brakes!!

Ever since i have had my car the front left brake would squeak when i brake slowly but when i put a lot of pressure on the pedal it would go away, I was changing pads and getting rotors turned last summer when i found out one of the reasons why the front left was squeakin was b/c the caliper was sticking and not releasing (just the front left) so i replaced the caliper, and they didnt squeak that bad after that (just normal purring ) it sounded really good. then i put my car away for the winter and brought it back out 4 weeks ago, and this problem has persisted (about the FR brkes squeaking) it actually sounds like the warning tab is scraping the rotor , but the tab is no where near it b/c the pads are pretty new. So what is the problem i have here. Could it be in the brake lines? would an upgrade to stainless steel help out ? also i used reybestons pads and i want pads that are really queit and still grab hard, i was looking at EBC Greenstuff and Redstuff, and Hawk pads. any reccomendations?? thanks for the help

mine did the same thing too. auto zone has some stuff but i forget what it's called. it's a reddish orange color and they keep it by the brake fluid. you apply it to the back on the pad, in between the pad and caliper. it stops any metal to metal rubbing which is usually the cause for squeaky brakes if the tab isn't rubbing. it's only like 4-5 bucks for a bottle that will cover 2-3 brake changes, so it's worth a shot. it worked for me. all you do is put a coat on the back of the brake pad where the caliper would push on the pad. let it dry for about 10 minutes and then put the pad back. my brakes haven't squeaked a bit in 2 months since i put that stuff on.

If your concerned about brake squeak, get the VGX pads. Theyre advertised as being quiet and they are. I have a convertible and the squeaking was driving me nuts untill I put on the VGX. Now it never ever squeaks.

The VGX pads grab very well. I still have the stock rotors and am happy with the performance. I think they are great unless your doing some serious road racing in which case you would want a harder pad.
