Spun rod bearing. What to do

Ok well I've never really posted here before but the 3 days ago I purchased a 95 z28 and on the way home it blew a head gasket. I yanked the heads off of it and it appears the heads have been milled and when they reinstalled the heads they had sit the corner of the head on the gasket puncturing it. I purchased the car just to drive for a bit and build overtime. So i checked the heads and reinstalled them. And after I got it going again it spun a rod bearing. I have a carb'd 327 I built a few years back thats ready to go and a th400 trans. My issue is should I modify everything to run this setup, which appears to be alot of work. Or should I build another lt1 to run in the car. Any inputs appreciated. Thanks

Seeing as this is an LT1 section, I think you will get a lot of biased opinions, including mine

Stay with the fuel injection.

Only way I would go a different route is if the motor was larger than a 327, you was not going to drive it much, you had huge power goals that LT1 style heads can not reach.

Well the 327 i built for a nova i used to have and it put down 415 to the wheels it has double hump heads. I was just considering it as an option, since its just sitting on a stand and i have a wad of money tied up in it. Im just sorting through the ideas. Im more than certain by the time its said and done ill end up going with a forced induction lt1.

Consider the room needed for the carb and the rear distributor.

Which is why I was saying I'll probably go with an lt1, the carb clearance doesnt look awful, but the distributor I just wouldnt know how to make work without getting nasty about it. The cars just going to be a clean summer weekend car and I dont really want to hack it up.
