Spun rod bearing, cracked crank journals...

Just upon inspection it this is what I was able to see. The cam journals looked fine and the block itself looked fine. The bottom of the pistons also looked ok. The crank is defiantly toast, and so are the rods. I was curious if you think the heads would be ok. This is a possible motor as is, that I am looking to purchase. Those who have thrown a rod bearing... Is it possible to reuse the heads?

Edit.

He also said that he blew a head gasket.

If the piston did not the head causing extensive damage you should be fine.

If its just a spun bearing the heads will be fine. But if you have a blown head gasket and overheated the motor there is a good chance that you warped the heads, but its probably fixalbe by having the heads milled. If I were you I would just take the heads to a local engine builder and have them checked out, it should only cost about $100 to have them checked and that cheaper than a set of head gaskets.
