Spun Bearing possible

I'm wanting to add a Cam (CC306) and Heads (Lloyd Elliot stage2) along with long tubes and a torque converter to my 95 88,000 mile Z28 but fear spinning a bearing. I've had a couple friends and heard of many others having this problem after doing Heads and Cam. Is there anything I can do to prevent this problem from happening without removing the motor?
Thanks.

Only the bearings know what kind of shape they are in. If you want to know, the engine will have to come apart for inspection. There is nothing preventative you can do at this point. Everyone gets different results.

Don't over rev the stock bottom end and keep it full of oil.

Re: Spun Bearing possible

I spun a bearing 4 years after my cam swap. A lot of revving to 6500 on that stock bottom end and it finally gave out.

I rebuilt it and had ARP rod bolts installed and apparently that helps prevent the problem in the future. That was 4 years ago that I rebuilt it and haven't had a problem yet.

I drive hard too.
