Springs for cc306

I want to go from my 1.5s to 1.6s and my springs now won't cut it. What springs will work with the 306 ,but not require machining for a larger diameter. I don't feel like pulling the heads off the car to do a rocker swap.

I'm going with Crane 99893 double springs with my XE 230/236, which is practically a CC306 but with a little less on the exhaust side. You can also go with Comp 987 springs but you'd have to machine the seats in order to get them to fit. With the Crane's you wouldn't have to have the seats machined.

Comp 987's are around $90 and Crane 99893's are around $113.

I went with the 987's, but as said about you need locators for these springs, and have to machine the heads to fit them.
