Springs

I've got a chance to get some CC pro mag 1.6RRs for REALLY cheap new, i know i gotta change out the springs for the RR but i plan on putting in a XE 230/236 cam in the next 6 months. Should i put on the spings for the new cam in now and just wait or get a set of LT4 springs now and swap them out again when i get the cam. I would like the best and cheapest way to do this. I've read somewhere that the added spring pressure made almost no diff in HP/TQ. Thanks a bunch!!

I don't think the stock springs can take a 1.6 rocker without binding. I would go ahead and step the springs up while you're at it. And don't get the LT4, get something better because the LT4 springs aren't good much over .525 lift and the can you're talking about will surly be in the neighborhood of .550 and higher.

Yeah, do that becuase it won't hurt the stock cam to run those springs. And it's extra peace of mind to know that you're not pushing coil bind with the 1.6 rockers.
