Spintech mufflers...

I am thinking of going with the SpinTech muffler on my car. Probably get it from www.Machperformance.com. Bill there is very helpful. Has anyone ever heard one on an Lt1 with a hotcam? Or has anyone ever heard one on an Fbody period? Thanks guys!

I've only heard them on an 03 GT w/ offroad x-pipe. VERY raspy on his car, but we think it might be tamed with some high-flow catalytics or something. Might not help much, but at least this'll bump ya to the top!

I have one on my car with Hooker LT, 3" Y-pipe, CC306 and ported heads and it sounds great. Pretty mild in car sound but gets very loud when you get on it. It's a very high quality muffler.

My friend has one on his LS1. It is almost as quiet as the stock muffler at low RPMs and it sounds great when he gets on it. His car has a bigger cam, headers w/ no cats. He says it is the best muffler he's had and he is very happy with it. I am getting one myself when I put the stroker I am building in my car.

I'm sure it sounds better than my Slowmaster. Not to mention I'm sure it will flow better too.

I heard a spin tech on a friends car that has gutted cats. I wasnt very impressed with the sound but I have to say, it really sounded nice at 5 grand. Very smooth all through the powerband. Sorry I hate to say that it doesnt sound better than a flowmaster...but its all in personal preference. We reved to cars together and he heard the flow over the spin tech. Both were almost in stock trim. The flow had a 3 inch cat back and the spin tech had stock I pipes.
