Spilled some coolant on the Opti - what do I do?

Today while doing the intake manifold gasket, i accidentally spilled a little coolant that was in the TB, sowehre in the area of the opti. It wasn't much, and I won't be starting the car for at least another week. Do you guys think I may have a problem, or would the coolant evaporate?

Thanks
Max

Should be fine. I would only be concerned if the water pump was leaking for a while, but A little coolant shouldn't hurt. It's damn near impossible to not get coolant on it anyway when changing the water pump.

I agree, should be fine. I don't think its possible to do a wp swap without getting it wet. What year car do you have? If you have the vented opti, you are in even better luck because even if some got in, it will be sucked out. Acetone does a good job cleaning up coolant but i wouldnt put any there cuz that is a liquid. Id just whipe it with a rag and spray some compressed air at it to get most of it off.

Thanks for the help guys, I remember reading that even a little liquid could kill the opti, but I guess I'll be alright. BTW my car is a 96Z, do I have the vented opti or the non-vented?

Thanks
Max

should be vented. if you have the little blue fitting going into the intake elbow then its vented. im about 99% sure it is. BTW, if a little bit of liquid effected the opti it would go to **** quick if it rained and you drove through a puddle.
