speedo calibration for '93z with a '94 tranny
speedo calibration for '93z with a '94 tranny
I have a '93 z I put and put a '94 tranny into it. Do I need to get an SLP box or are there gears I can change in a '94 tranny? It's a different question, I know, but hopefully one of you has done something similar. My speedo used to be off by a bit (2.73's to 3.73's) but now that the tranny gears have switched to a lower # the speedo is off by almost 100 mph!
Re: speedo calibration for '93z with a '94 tranny
ttt, this something that I am interested in as I may have to do the same for my car some day.
I do know that my 93 has a speed sensor that cannot be adjusted through the computer. It must be adjusted through gears and speed sensor. My speedo was off 10 mph (60 mph read 50 mph), had to go with a smaller gear and since the gear was smaller had to go with an offset speed sensor.
I do not know about 94 if they are speed sensor/gears or computer, I think the adjustment on the computer started in 95.
