Special Thanks To Shoebox And Trifecta

on the advice of Shoebox I got a mail order custom tune from Trifecta, First off they spent over a half hour on the phone with me to decide EXACTLY what I wanted.

It was a very simple to use programer that took about 7 mins total to install.

This is one great tune, throttle response, power, shift points, shift firmess, speedo recal ect. The car is alot alot less "jerky" and more of a joy to drive.

So thanks to Shoebox for sending me in the right direction, thanks to Trifecta for a great tune and thanks to everyone who helped me out in my thread about the chip/tune

Glad to see somebody else with a Trifecta tune and enjoying it. I too have received excellent advise from "Shoebox", "Injuneer" , and the other regular advisors of this site And I have nothing but good things to say about Trifecta....and to the many knowledgable people here on the LT1/LT4 section

Some people don't like sending their PCMs out. That is when (but not only when) Trifecta is a good alternative.

When i'm ready for a tune, i'll be going with Trifecta too, he was very helpful on the phone, he was also going to program in & let me try 3 tunes & decide which one gave me the best ET & MPH.

Shoebox thanks again, you saved me time, money, headaches and being out of my comfort zone (with THIS car anyway) with pulling the PCM.

I used trifecta for my tuning needs as well, with no complaints at all.

Add me to the list of being very uncomfortable sending a pcm in the mail. Just about everything I've ordered throughout the years has had damage to the packaging because of careless people. Luckily nothing ever has been banged up too bad.

I used trifecta to get me up and running. Had a bit of trouble ses code for no crank pos sensor (swapped 95 engine into 96 car). Sent Vince an email and he got right back to me and had a solution for me right away.

Drove the car for 4 months until I could afford stuff for obd1 swap/tuning and vince set me up with a baseline for that too. Wouldnt hesitate to use em again. He answered numerous questions I asked him before I went obd1, excellent customer service. He sometimes hangs out in the pcm tuning forum here, I always like to see what he has to say about tuning issues.
