Special Guide Plates for Lt1/Lt4 Heads?

I was told from a well know cylinder head guy that I need either Trickflow guide plates or Adjustable Guide Plated for the Lt1 and Lt4 Heads. I seen the trickflow plates have different pushrod slots, they are spread apart more. Anyone know anything about this?

Gm makes guideplates for the lt1 heads. I run them with out a problem. My rockers are centered. They had problems a few years ago with some not being hardened but was cleared up in no time. Food for thought.
