spec stage IV and V

Hey guys, I was wondering about these two clutches. I want somethin that will handle 500-600 HP but dont want to pend a fortune. I am gong to put it behind a 396 stroker and either a supercharger or 200 shot (havet decide yet). I am also going to drive the car to the track and it woll also be an occational weekend car. How sreetable are these clutches. Spec III ceramic says "race only" but I hear of guys driving them on the street. Also the Stage 4 says not reccomended for highway. And same with stage V. Also...why is the stage 4 clutch cheaper than the stage 3??? I was just wondering how truly streetable these clutches are besides what SPEC says. Right now I'm thinking of going with a Stage 4 from performance-parts-outlet for $450.

And no I'm not going to get a street twin b/c thats just too much money. I know it's the best and all that but in 6 months I'm swapping in an Auto-reverse manual valve body, etc. so it would be a waist of money. I just want something that will last maybe a year and be able to drve on the street.

Thanks fo all the help.

Why not just wait and save your money and put the auto in. Insted of blowing a few hundred bucks for a clutch.

I need to make it through this season on a manual and I like driving a manual on the streets. I also want to get it done quickly because the high-school national at norwalk are in May. Plus the 6 spd will be better on gas when driving on the street and I dont have to worry about the vss and everything else. after this summer, it is going to be a track only car and I'm going to put in a 350 tranny. which if I put in now, would be running the engine way too many rpm's to drive all the way to the track.

So I am wonder which would be the best cluth and material for my setup
1. Stage 3
2. Stage 4
3. Stage 5
