Spark plug change.....try this

Well guys....I had to change my oil sensor it was leaking. And GM in their infinite wisdom to make $, with the oil pan as big as it is they put the F#$@%# right behind the Exhaust pipe. So I had to take out the Pipe to get to the sensor. Well while I was there I changed the plugs. All from the bottom. Took about 5 minutes to take out the pipe. About 40 minutes to change the plugs. Only the passenger side front plug was hard to get to.

Good luck. Try it you might like it.

what pipe did you remove? the y pipe? if so, I was thinking of dropping it to do plugs, because when I was under my car a few months back in autoshop, seemed like the best way to get to the plugs

You know I've always had that question. I've been on this board for awhile and always asked myself this question but never asked. This is the pipe that's on the driver's side of the car from the exhaust manifold down under the car. It has a.......looks like a cat on it but I thinks its something else. It's a single pipe which later connects to the pasenger side pipe with a clamp. Aint no Y anwhere in the ****. BUt I guess its it.

Yeah it is a cat....Its definitely easier to do with the Y-pipe off. I couldn't even get to the passenger's side number 8 with it on. I took it off and noticed that it would definitely be much easier to do without it.
