Spark plug change and big arm and hands
Hey I got a question about spark plug changing in LT1’s. I read many posts about the best way to do the passenger side, but most are probably for guys with skinny arms. What about guys with big arms? I am a pretty big guy (5’10” 244lbs) with big arms and hands. I finished changing the spark plugs and wires on the driver side, and let’s say the car is lucky that I didn’t light the thing on fire and run it into a wall somewhere. What is the best way to change the plugs and wires on the passenger side for guys with big arms and hands? What should I remove? Top or bottom? Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

if your a big guy it makes it worse to get at them, you can do a search about the many diffrent ways guys do them on that side
Just take your time and if you get frustrated walk away, it is better than doing damage you will regret later.
I am 6 foot and 240 so I am big as well, alot of people remove the alternator but I have never had to do that. I don,t have AC on the car so the 2 fronts come off from below and the 2 rears from the top. With Air Conditioning it is a major pain but if you can find a small friend and he can squeeze his arm down there on the plug closest to the firewall and change it you will be done with the hardest one. I have major scratches and swollen arms after a plug change but I heal.
It took me a whole weekend the first time I changed plugs on my 94, now I can do it in about an hour. Like I said havin the AC gone makes so much more room in there.

I definitely feel your pain.
I'm a 5'8" 240lb powerlifter. You just have to take your time and 'back away from the vehicle' when you start getting pissed. Don't force anything, just take your time as best you can.
I find that dropping the y-pipe and doing 4, 6, and 8 from the bottom works pretty well. You also have to pay close attention to routing the wires on this side too. It's a mess on the passenger side, but it can be done.
#2 is just a pain. Other than losing the A/C or the AIR tube, you're just going to have to do battle with that POS.
Good luck!
