Someone told me you can remove the thermostat?? Is this true???
I never heard this before. Is this possible??? It sounds like a good thing though, always have water flowing down there.

It can be done but its a dangerous thing to do, there was a thread about this a while back. Just get a 160 degree thermostat if you are worried about your engine overheating.

Removing the thermostat causes the coolant to flow to quickly and it is not cooled correctly in the radiator. For the same reason the temp sensor will show a much cooler reading than the car is actually running. This could cause a blown head gasket even when it appears to be running at 180 degrees.
