Some on here have helped a great deal in this project and for that i am very appreciative. so far the car is just about back together. i had to do the majority of the work myself as all my "bros" kept bailing on me. the timing set went back together without a hitch thanks to shoebox and injuneer. you guys know your **** for sure! the opti went back together nicely. my first major hurdle after that was the starter. somebody from last year posted a vid with symptoms exactly like i had, turns out you have to be careful where the PCM ground goes. big thanks to that guy i dont remember his SN. my last hurdle was the crank hub. i had the kentmoore set but it was missing pieces. i acquired a very expensive matco setup which is utterly useless for the LT1. so after 3 days of searching i found a 3 foot section of threaded rod. cut it down to about 7 inches and used a few washers and a bearing from a power steering pulley kit and it went on in about 5 minutes! tomorrow i can throw the radiator, condensor, and fans in as well as my new 1LE intake elbow. i did a test fire on it just to make sure everything was ok up to this point and the engine ran and idled well for about 5 seconds, so im hoping the last few pieces go in and i can finally drive it again. its been down for a long 6 weeks.

cliffs: resealed the LT1 and did a clutch and few other things. had some hangups gettin all back together. camaroz28.com came through for me and helped me out. should run in less than 24 hours.
