I have a 95 LT1 with the MAC headers, the spark plug wires come too close to the primary tubes so I want to go ahead and put in the over the valve cover ones, who makes the kit? and are the wires one I have to cut and fit myself or do they come pre-done in a ready to go kit? Feel free to tell me anything I have not included.
Thanks in advance

thunder racing ahs a kit, but it sucks... get the MSD wires (have to cut them yourself) and "made for you" looms. They're great. you can compare my and my buddies on our pages. he has the thunder kit, i have the MSD's. Both will work, but the mfy looms look MUCH better and do a better job of holding the wires. I ordered mine through summit.

JKayner, I did not see your buddy's wire looms on the webpage, but I saw yours, and my Thunder/Taylor looms look exactly like yours. They have a choice of two, maybe he got the other ones (medal things sticking up from the side of the valve cover).
Anyway, I think the Thunder/Taylor set is great....

damn, i thought there were better pictures of his on the site, i have on, I'll post it. I didn't know they offered a choice, when he bought them they didn't. And yes they are the metal things that look like a big C.

I prefer these http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=8717 to the Made For You looms... they are cheaper and look nicer
I'm also running the MSD superconductor wires.

Thanks for the fast replys everyone, ok I think I am going to go with the red wire holders from Summit and get the MSD superconductor wires. Which wires do i want to get? the MSD part # 121-3214-9? are those the ones you makes yourself? And if so is there any tool you guys suggest that is the best for making the wires.
Thanks again everyone

I have the Thunder Racing kit and I think its great. I wouldn't run any other wire than the Taylors. If I had it to do over again, the only thing I'd do different is get the kit 2 yrs ago. I would recommend the Thunder Racing kit to anyone. By the time you buy the parts seperate from Summit, its going to cost you about the same and yo know your getting everything needed from Thunder Racing. Be sure you get the opti boots from Summit also. I'm not sure if they come with the wire kit or not.
Sorry guys that was a jegs part number but just let me know which ones I should buy. I see some that say custom fit and other that I guess you make them yourself, would the custom fit ones work with the loomes I am going to buy or should I buy the make your own?
Sorry for all the questions

my problem was that I couldn't use the Russell looms with the LT4 valve covers. so i had to go with the side mount looms. here are some pics.

Ok now looking at everyones pictures the Russel loomes, like the ones I was looking at getting from Summit look like they hold the wires down beside the header so I am thinking maybe I should go with the Thunder racing top mount ones just so I can get the wires away from the headers more, Should I go ahead and get the Taylor wires since it is a kit or should I still get MSDs, MSDs custom fit ones still work for the top mount loomes? and I will also need to purchase the opti ends no matter what wires correct?
I am really sorry for all the questions on this subject I know they have to be really annoying by now but thanks again.

i would think you need the msd universal fit with the opti boots rather than the custom fit to run over the valve cover. i have never run the msd so i can't speak for them. i like the taylor's but i have had them twice and been well satisfied with them so i'm a little biased. the kit from thunder racing comes with everything you need even the wire crimping tool.
