What cam are you going to use? Those valve springs in the 4th picture look kind of puny.

Re: Some Port **** from Airflowdevelopment

Custom Solid roller.Spec's have yet to be figured out.. can't do all that till the heads are actually done... Comp Cam's said them spring's were good to over .800 lift and resist float to over 10K..

As far as the intake.. yea that's a sweet piece.. shame it's going on a sportsman class dragster or somthing or other..

And yes they're 23* heads.. Err.. 22 they've been rolled a slight bit...
Shortblock is a 396LT1 4 bolt block..

CFM in Indy is doing the conversion on the heads, Intakeelbows.com is doing the Super Vic conversion.

Then both will be sent to Jerry Killian down in south Ga to get ported. Or so I think I will as of now, I may let CFM or West COast Cylinder head do the porting.

Goal is 10.90 in a 3650lb Camaro all motor. With all the accessories intact on a 325/50 Drag radial.

Again, nice heads.

Re: Some Port **** from Airflowdevelopment

Does anyone kow what is used to color Dyne Cylinder heads or where I can get it?? I have some AFR heads and I am wanting to Dye the AFR label on the front of the heads. It is purely Cosmetic and it will bring a little sytle to the heads.

Something along the color of this

Ben,

It's machinest dye.... normally the name brand is Dykem. It's a PITA to get off exactly where you want it off so be carefull with the stuff.

Steve,

Last time I talked to Dennis (yesterday or the day before I think) he said it was moving 365+ on 4.030" bore. In head porting terms you are looking at 103cfm/sq in, which if you talk to head porters is REALLY big air and basically unheard of on a 23° head ESPECIALLY on a 4.030" bore. Any head porter would be super impressed with this, be it Pro Stock, NASCAR Cup or whoever.
