Some plans....

I don't have that much money right now (and I really don't want to do any major engine work) so I was thinking about a few minor mods to do to my stock engine.

Gears, CAI, tune, 160 thermostat, and possibly a cutout. I'm just looking for some help as to what I should do first and how I should go about this. I'm not going to do the gears until I can get a tune like almost right away, so I was thinking about going for the CAI before anything else. Thoughts?

That brings me to the next question.....which CAI? I was leaning towards SLP, but I just want to know which one gives optimum performance and is the best quality. I really don't care much about how it looks, but it's always a plus. I'm just concerned about performance and quality/durability. Thanks in advance.

All CAI's are basically the same. With the G2 being an exception,I guess.Anyhow,I would do that(CAI),headers, gears, stall. Those four will make a big difference in your car.I am not a fan of cutouts, but they are cheap power...good luck.

I'm not gonna do headers, my brother-in-law had them on his '94 Z and he told me I shouldn't go through the trouble and the money for them....they'd give me power, but it's not like I'm taking it to the track every weekend and stuff. I don't have the money to have them installed and I'm not about to attempt them myself. I was just gonna settle on the stuff that I mentioned before.

So I'll go with the CAI and then the gears and tune....?

Of course, if I did have the money, I'd do the whole thing (headers, cam, heads, etc) but, not in this lifetime, LOL.

I'd rather not cut anything or do anything out of the ordinary....I'd really like to just put it in there where the stock one was.
