Some one help.. Snapped a rocker arm stud. drove for awhile!

I snapped a rocker arm stud today when i was driving home.. It was making a loud ticking noise, i just thought it was a rocker that had come loose... Since that noise i havent pushed it over 2500 driving home.. i drove about 30 minutes to get home, in traffic. The rocker when i took the valve covers off when i got home was completly off the stud and laying there.. the push rod was sitting there on the lifter freely... It seems ill need new studs.. but do you think i damaged anything else? Lifter didnt have any resistance on it for about 30 min...

If you didn't have a rev kit,you should look at the lifter just to be safe.

You are probably going to need a new cam and lifters. The cam was just beating the lifter for 30 minutes. Luckily it never kicked the lifter out of the bore completely or you would have lost oil pressure. It sucks, happened to me once before with a Pontiac engine.

Alot of people I have been talking to said they have done worse and been ok.. How would i know if I need to replace the lifters or cam without inspecting them?

You can measure the lift at the rocker arm to see if the cam lobe is worn down.
