Did you check for a very small fluid leak? I had a power steering leak that was ever so slightly spraying fluid on the belt.

I had a belt squeak for over a year after I put in the underdrive pulley. No matter what belt I used it did not help the situation, Gates, Dayco, etc, none of them would be quiet.
Then Goodyear came out with the Gatorback belt, I finally got hold of one that would fit and no more squeak.

Try some belt dressing. Could even be a leak from one of the belt driven accessories like stated above. Could even be a pulley bearing on your Alternator, PS Pump or AC Condensor.

Get a new Good Year Gatorback belt. Got mine at AutoZone for under $25 if I remember correctly.

Try a tad of WD 40 on the belt, then hold a rag against it while its moving. WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL YOU DONT GET YOUR FINGER CAUGHT OR THE TOWEL CAUGHT IN THE BELT!

This will clean the belt really well, and more than likely fix the problem. Dont use belt dressing, that stuff makes a huge mess

Cool

Ditto on the tensioner.Might just hit the belt ever so gently with wd -40 (one quick spray)about 2 times, and see if that helps.Do the new belt thing first though.,Napa=great prices.My02

Another thought, why not just hit the tensioner ever so gently with wd-40,and see if this really is the culprit.Hope this helps.
