Solid Spacer and pinion nut.

I was thinkin about changing my pinion seal as it has tinnnny leak. Can i tighten the nut as hard as i can afterwards? I know u cant with the normal crush sleve, but since i have the solid crush sleve will i mess anything up?

Do you remember what size the pinion nut is? I want to make sure I have a socket for it when I do my gear work. Thanks.

BTW, Marcin, I don't think you would have any problem since you have the solid spacer. That is a benefit I had not thought of before.

shoebox, the pinion nut is 1-1/4" , and like you said changing the seal wont cause any pre-load changes on the bearing.
