So I installed my long tubes today...

I know I need a blockoff plate on the back of my intake, but what do I do with all the silver tubes on the passenger side that were all the AIR or EGR stuff that was on top of the old manifolds? I believe there are some on driver's side as well. (I hope that makes sense, but I'm a little tired at the moment). Is there anything else I need to finish this install off? Do I need more than the 1 blockoff plate on the back of the intake or anywhere else? I have done a little reading on removing the AIR and EGR, but I'm not really certain. If I can just leave that stuff sitting in there undone and open thats most likely what I will do, I know I need to have the AIR and EGR deleted out of the computer I guess. Any help on how to finish this will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I hear ya loud and clear about being tired after working on a car. As far black off plates go, you can actually buy them or make them of you want. The silver tube will come off too. Once you do all this, the computer will through a code, although it took mine a month before it through a code for this.

Well I was doing a little more reading on EGR stuff and I have 'race headers' so I don't have any EGR hookups on the headers, but do I even need to remove the EGR valve? If I just block off the corrugated EGR tube that went to the header, will the EGR still function? From what I have read there isn't a real reason to remove the EGR and its actually better to leave it.

So, if I leave the EGR valve and solonoid all attatched to the intake, will it still function without the corrugated tube that was attatched to the stock manifold?

Also, with more reading what are these vaccum seals that people are talking about for the AIR? Does anyone have pics of what I need to do with them? I heard people mention about removing the tubes, but I think I need to block something off on the engine itself?

Once you remove the silver tube from the exhaust manifold, the EGR no longer has a source of exhaust gases to resirculate. Therefore leaving the rest of the system on would be meaningless seeing as though the system can't function. You can leave the EGR valve on if you don't want to fab up a block off plate for that port but you will still need one for the silver tube that ran to the exhaust manifold.

As for the AIR system you can just remove the entire system, there shouldn't be anything to block off seeing as though your headers don't have the AIR ports on them.

Doesn't the AIR pump run on the serpentine belt? If I delete the AIR pump will I need a new belt and if so what size?

No, its an electric pump so you will not need a different style belt. The air pumps on the third gens were belt driven.

Is the AIR pump on the driver's side underneath the stock intake box? If so, then do I just pull it off?

The air system has a V shaped pipe the wraps around the front of the engine. You will need to remove this, the pump and the check valves. The air pump is located bellow the ignition coil and is held to the front of the engine with 3 10mm bolts.
