So I have 918 springs for my LT1. ???

After it was suggested by Speed Inc. to go with the 918 springs... I am wondering if with the locks and retainers it will come with, will make it a direct bolt on.

Any experience here?

AFAIK, the 918s need a spring seat on aluminum LT1 heads.

email bret@bauer-racing.com , hes got the entire package you need to use them on an LT1, with either steel or titanium retainers, depending on how much you wanna spend. (Ti makes for much lighter valvetrain).
