Smells like... Coolant?

Hey, so this has been happening for a while, and I basically know what is happening but if someone else could tell me exactly what might be happening and where it is happening. Anyway, the details. Whenever I’m in traffic or the car isn't really going that fast (speed<20) it smells like anti-freeze/coolant. It seems like it coming from my vent (the one for the windshield. I've actually noticed some "stains" on the base of the windshield that looks like it might have come from evaporating anti-freeze. So I know there is a leak somewhere I suppose, and its getting heated up and passing through my vents as a gas and smells up my car a bit when the engine gets hot. I've looked for a leak but the amount leaking out is probably very small. If anyone else has had this problem or your just smart and know it please fill me in.

Thanks!

Sounds like a heater core. Notice any coolant dripping on the passenger floor?

No i havn't noticed any fluid inside the car besides the little bit of vapor on the windshield. I don't really know much... anything about the heater core.

Could it possibly a small leak towards the top of the Core (just read up on them) Also my heater isn't on, so should there not be any coolant going to the core anyway? I just got directions on how to remove the core. Where do i drain the coolant from, never did that.
