Slugish and Stuttering w/new motor. Need some idea's thrown my way!
Slugish and Stuttering w/new motor. Need some idea's thrown my way!
I am now narrowing it down to two things, ingition and fuel.
I am running rich, the car is getting some k/r under load when it hits a real hard stutter around 4500 rpms, it also stutters some during constant crusing rpms.
I am running the Delteq setup which I bought from anther board member, the coils and ICM were said to be new, as were the wires. I've checked the wires and looked for arching, not sure if I can test it any better then that. I have also replaced the plugs.
I havent had a chance to check fuel pressure, but I didnt have a problem with any of that before the new motor went in. I also checked the vaccum line to the fpr and there is no fuel in there (there is a slight smell of fuel though).
I have ran datalogger and I see nothing too odd, I replaced one of the o2's becuase it had a internal failure (grounding it out), and now they look alright on the scanner.
The car basically feels like it has a intermitent miss or something, it becomes very noticable when crusing in gear at a steady rpm because the car bucks kind of. But when it hits 4500 or so the car really falls on its face for a second, but will go through it (only done that once because I cant bring myself to knowingly put the car through something that may not be good for it)
One interesting note is that when the car hits the 4500 range and has the problem, it pulls out like 9degrees of k/r. I am running the lt4 k/m and a new sensor. I have read that if you tighten it too much it can get false readings, but I dont think I put the new sensor in too tight.
I am probably going to put the old coil and plug wires back on and see if running the opti fixes anything.
You guys got any ideas to throw out?
