SLP's speedo recalibration part #? (I searched)

Well, I was planning on ordering this part tomorrow to recalibrate the speedo on my '93 M6. However, after searching the SLP site for an hour plus, I couldn't find it anywhere. After several searches on this site I found a few posts referring to a Dakota Digital piece as well. Can anyone help me out with a part # for the SLP Box, or give me some information on the Dakota unit? Alright, well thanks in advance,

Nick W

I have tried looking for it as well and I could never find it on slp's website. I have found it on another webiste which I am not sure if they are a paying advertiser so if you want to e-mail me I will give it to you. The one I found is 28-63008 and it is for 179.99.

Hope this helps,

Jay

PS -- You are going to love the 4.10's in our cars, which tranny do you have?

I just checked the vendor listing and Thunderracing was on it. I think I have seen it on Tbryne's website as well:

Thunderracing:

http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1025

for $179.99

Thanks alot '93 Z! I've been pretty pissed at the car almost all day (another $500+ estimate from the shop) and you just saved me a huge headache. I can't for the life of me remember my tranny gear ratio, it's the more agressive ratio of the 2 options on the 6-speed, though. My car has had nothing but problems since I've gotten it, so I haven't really had much fun with it :\. Currently it's overheating, clutch is slipping, won't pass emissions, huge exhaut leak (probably resulting in failed emmissions) etc. I'm kinda fed up with it at the moment heh! Ok, enough rantings, thanks a bunch for finding the part for me, it's in the mail .

SLP no longer makes it. And good riddance. They took 3 weeks to ship it to me.

Ah

Ouch Dj, sounds like it might have been a mixed blessing that I couldn't find it from them. I oredered it from Thunder Racing, hopefully it'll work out. I'm curious though, how hard is this thing to install? I'm completely NOT mechanically or electronically inclined (I took me about an hour just to change my windshield wipers yesterday, things felt like they were glued on) Also, can anyone give me a list of tools I'll need to ground the wires or whatnot?

Thanks,
Nick~

Mine hasn't been installed yet. Larnach said he's going to help me out but I have a number of other things I have to do first. I have to tap out a thread in my heads, I have to get a flywheel installed, and that's last on my list.
