SLP Stall.......Yes or No?

Here is the specs on it, the stall converter runs $300.

"
This 298mm (11.73") converter improves performance by raising the stall speed to approximately 2400 RPM putting the engine higher in its power band for a stronger launch. Your 0-60 and 1/4 mile performance times can be reduced by as much as 2 to 3 tenths! The converter features fully brazed pump fins and high-capacity Torrington thrust bearings for durability.

Each converter is individually balanced and arrives ready for installation. They are completely compatible with your car's stock PCM and retain the factory lock up features for highway performance and mileage. This converter is effective on vehicles with mild modifications and up to 3:73 rear gears. With ANY high stall converter an auxiliary transmission cooler is recommended.

i was considering one of those also. the thing is, the STR (stall torque ratio) is probably lower than most other aftermarket converters.

So the SLP is not a 'true' stall...

From what I've heard don't waste your money on it.

I've heard slp's new 2800 tc is a little better. There are some other places to find them...trey had one listed and I believe it was torco.com or something like that. Spend the money on a good tc!!

I destroyed an SLP converter in my car. The converter stall was too low and it is as big as the factory converter. Go with a 10inch or smaller so your motor revs quicker.(less rotating mass) Get a TCI, YANK, or a vigilante!
