SLP LT4 PP/clutch....opinions please

Im soon to need a new clutch and all the works. My car is a full bolt-on car and will have a LT4 hotcam and maybe a 75 shot at the most.

Will this clutch hold the minimal amount of power i have planned for the car?

Also wanted to know how this clutch feels, holds and engages.

Any opinions and advice is welcomed.

Thanks Alot!

It held all last year for me with full bolton's and running on Nittos, made 30 passes or so at times in sig. I havn't run it again since adding the hotcam but I think it will hold for this year, going to run it again this weekend. I don't know about adding a 75 shot on top of all that, I think it would be too much for this clutch if you have good traction. I plan to swap out the stock disc if and when it goes for a Mcleod single disc or one of the Star discs for better bite.

Ooops sorry to mention i dont really go to the track that often. The car might get 8 passes a year max.

Its my daily driven, rice harvester.

I'm all about the Spec Stage 2 and it's probably right in that price range. I've got a lightly modded stock LT1 and I'm not a track junkie (yet) and the car is sort of a daily driver...as in I have back up. I'd suggest it to anyone in similar situation/set up.

The clutch is fine for street (racing) use on street tires, I don't think you would have any problems with it even with an occasional 75 shot. At the track with the 75 shot and good traction I don' know though. I automatically assume everyone takes theirs to the track for abuse

The thing is awesome for street. Holds great, and drives like stock.

However, put some stick tires on it and it SLIPS like a ****, def not the clutch you want for the strip.

Yea, my Spec 2 held a 4000 RPM dump on ET Streets and stock 3.42s in an M6. It held nicely!

I dunno, ive heard too many things about Specs and seen too many in person fail (ie shatter) for me to ever buy one.

Anyways, what was the 60' on that run. If you spun its no big deal, i never had any troubles with the clutch until I was in the 1.9 range and lower.

I ran 8 times saturday all 1.92; 1.94 and 1.99 60's...and that's strokin' on 3.42s; at least I think.

The only Spec I'd heard bad about is the Spec 3; but its been redesigned and I hear good things about that...plus, you can't beat their customer service...TOP KNOTCH!
