The Loud Mouth is not what I would call Cheap! LOL There are MANY systems out there that cost WAY less and sound WAY better, IMHO! LOL I've heard a couple of LT1's with the SLP LM and the sound is MUCH better with the SLP 2OTL system. I personally like my Hooker with the Mac mids.....got a nice sound to it. BUT it's all a matter of personal tastes. Good luck in your search!
Peace!

Re: SLP loudmouth on a LT1

On my 95 Z28 I had the Borla wide open. I loved it. On my 97SS I first tried the deconing mod and was not happy. Then I tried a cut out and it sounded like a trash truck.

Now I have the SLP loudmouth and I love it. I will pop when the engine is cold but not quite as much as the Borla did. PM me, I'll hold the phone up to the car.

Re: SLP loudmouth on a LT1

LT1, headers, cats and loudmouth is amazing (key though are the cats to keep it from being raspy)

I really like the way the SLP Loudmouth sounds on an LT1 when it still has the stock manifolds and cats. Once you get headers it is annoying though.
