Re: SLP Loudmouth And Headers or....

I'd get a catback and headers if possible. Some folks tend to dislike their loudmouth after headers, but again its personal preference. Cut outs are stupid in my opinion. Some people gain some, some dont, its do circumstantial in my opinion. Its a muscle car make it sound like one, you dont hear your father or uncle saying "Oh ya, back in 75 I didnt put flowmasters on my Camaro I put some supercool cutouts so when I went to grandma's house I didnt wake up her cats" Bull-pucky, make all your power all the time, I like being recognized as a badass loud peice of American Muscle car heritage.

Usually true with cats removed, then again they said the same thing about GMMG with no cats and hell I love every minute of it.

Re: SLP Loudmouth And Headers or....

Ideally you do headers and catback but if you can only afford one right now, go with the headers as they will make the larger improvement. As far as loudness goes, headers without cats and a loudmouth will be VERY loud. Some people like that but other people find it much too loud often including your local police

You would be better off with a catback that uses a high flow muffler like a Magnaflow system. Check out our web site for more info or drop us an email at sales@fasttoys.net

Ive got that exct setup, Mac mids, LM no cat, no emission stuff, and i love it. I first got just LM=pretty cool, then removed cat=really loud, but not a good tone at all macs, LM no cat=just right, loud outside, quiet inside not to obnoxious great overall sound

Come on, pull them stones down. I love my LT's, ory and LM. I'm keeping it that way after I get my CC306 and heads in there to.

Re: SLP Loudmouth And Headers or....

Personally, I decided to keep my stock exhaust and purchase a electric cut-out instead. That way, I can be quiet whenever I spot a potential victim and as I roll up, open her up! But that's just my opinion.. I'm also going to purchase some different tips and have them welded on just as soon as my car is put back together. I think thats the best of both worlds.
