Re: Slp Loudmouth Exhaust Lt1
Loud and sounds like complete S**t. Especially if you are going to do headers in the future. Get a good tuned exhaust system like Hooker or Magnaflow. GMMG is by fat the best sounding if you have the $$ for it.
Re: Slp Loudmouth Exhaust Lt1
A girl friend of mine has it on her car and it sounds nice, but it might be to raspy and loud if you do headers and no cat. I have a flowbastard on mine and im ready to ditch it for something new.
Re: Slp Loudmouth Exhaust Lt1
I've got the LM with SLP shorties and i'm nothing but happy. It does drone some on the highway at certain speeds and it is by no means quiet. Its nice because it covers up all the rattles and squeaks these cars are notorious for. At one point i took it off and put the stock exhaust back on, but it was soo disappointing how quiet it was, and i liked the loud exhaust so much more, so of course it went right back on. My neighbors must hate me but its well worth it.
Re: Slp Loudmouth Exhaust Lt1
I'm running ASM headers, orp/stock cat (switch on and off), and SLP LM.
I had a flowmaster with a cutout which sounded real good espically with the orp. And it dyno'd better with the ORP open then closed.
I'm now running the SLP LM with my setup and with the ORP it is the raspyist thing i've ever heard. Espically out of the passenger side tail pipe cause it's like a clean shot back for the noise to go out. But i love loud and obnoxious
so i'm happy with it. You can definetly wake up a neighbor hood by just giving a few revs, i know i have. It's probably not the best toned catback (even with the stock cat), but the flow is probably highest out of other catbacks and if loud is what you want, loud is what ya get. I havn't been to the dyno yet but i'm guessin i picked up a few with this system over the flowmaster.

Re: Slp Loudmouth Exhaust Lt1
Sounds OK behind stock manifolds, cats, & Y-pipe. Still too pick-up truck with straight pipes sounding to me though...
With headers, it sounds bad and like the others are saying about no cat/cats, sounds downright horrible IMO. Just like a Borla with the same set-up, very, veyr raspy, poppy, and just plain unrefined...
I personally think that there are MUCH better sounding cat-backs on the market. Besides, just buy a cheap $35 cutout if you want that unmuffled sound (which will perform as good if not better than any aftermarket cat-back out there anyway, including the SLP Loudmouth).
