SLP Loudmouth....
Does anyone know if SLP's loudmouth exaust legal in So. Cal? It appears to me to be straight pipes and I know that won't cut it here but I may be wrong. If it isn't legal I'm happy with my Flowmaster but it would be nice to be even louder!!!
It's perfectly legal... so will my dual exhaust be.
Just don't move the catalytic convertor(s) around and you'll be fine.
I've never had anyone ask me about CARB numbers and stuff like that on any of my vehicles. I've never had the car on a rolling dyno either. I've passed cars with nothing after the cat, leaking manifolds, etc.

If you dont mine a used set up. Look into the for sale section or ebay, You'll find them for about $150. If you want new then SLP will have them for about $300+. By the way LS1/LT1 are the same set up just a different hook up to the cat.

Some people like the Loud Mouths untuned raspy sound, I personally like the sound of Borla much better. Although if i had an F-body that wasnt a daily driver, it would have a loud mouth definatly. Like IDOXLR8 said you definatly want to hear this exhaust before you get one. All lot of people get it and get rid of it after a few months. One of my buddys had one on his 87 IROC and he ditched it cause it was too loud had too much of a drone and his neighbors hated him. Plus the cops told him the exhaust itself is legal, the sound of it after 10 pm coming up the street at more than an idle is not.
