SLP Loudmouth
Ok soo heres the story...i get alot of mixed reviews/opinions on my LM exhaust.....most ppl would say wow man thats loud..sounds nice.....then i get ppl that say it sounds like a truck it shouldnt sound like that blah blah blah....
when its cold it is snappy/raspy....alot of that goes away when it warms up but is still there a little.....
what are ur guys and gals honest opinion about the Loudmouth...what u like about it what u hate about it...specifics would be nice!!
Also any kind of way to get rid of that rasp/.snappy and what causes it?

IMO the loudmouth would sound even better if we had a true dual setup, due to the dummy dual design there is raspyness and with the cats in there it is worse. When I went to ORP there is no rasp at all but it is so loud you drive down the street and people expect to see a harley coming!! Next week I am putting the dynomouth on it to quiet it down some. Every exhaust will sound unique, just get soundclips from each and use your own taste and judgement.. Also the more you allow your engine to breathe, the more distinct the sound is from your exhaust. I like the loudmouth because of the stainless piping and the 2 1/2" diameter.

udmouth and they dont complain....is that b/c of LS1 different sound?
i like mine, its very loud. i get compliments all the time. The noise at WOT is just beautiful. The only badside is every car around me thinks im trying to race them because its so loud at only 2000 rpms.
The other night, I got to hear a '97 Z28 with the SLP Loudmouth, headers, and no cats (but had stock internals). Even followed him a little around town just to really hear it...
Let me tell ya, this was hands down the worst sounding LT1 I've ever heard.
Incredibly unrefined and very raspy/poppy. Had NO tone to it at all. My LS1 with only the GMMG sounds 100x better IMO.
But yeah, I pesonally think the LM sounds alright behind stock manifolds and cats. Although still too pick-up truckish (straight pipes). Anything else just makes it sound flat out horrible (same with the LS1 motor).
