Size of stock Intermediate pipe?

What size is the stock pipe from cat to muffler on a 93 formula? I want to say 3", as I want to get a muffler, stock is just too quiet. They list a 2-1/2 and 3" inlet. I am guessing the 2-1/2 is for the 92 and older. Whats a good direct fit muffler? I was looking at the flowmaster direct fit. Juat want to be sure its 3" in.

It is 2 3/4", and the pipes out of the muffler are 2 1/4"

So it should fit inside of the 3" opening on the muffler? Anyone use one of them, part # flo-43083, summit part # or do I want the 2-1/2 model? I would think the stock pipe would fit over the opening of the muffer.

For less flow interruption you want the inlet side of the pipe on the inside of the outlet/downward side of a clamped pipe. So a
2-3/4" pipe should flow into a 3". And a 2-1/4" outlet from muffler should go to 2-1/2" tailpipes.
