Simple overhaul ?s

My 93Z just turned over 141k... runs great burns no oil and does not smoke.

If I do a simple overhaul what should be done.

Bearings?
Rings?
Headjob?

I just want a good overhaul...not looking for a hotrod overhaul just stock.

And can this be done for 1200.00 to 1500.00?

Re: Simple overhaul ?s

if it doesnt have any real problems, and you dont want any real performance, just keep changing your oil every 2500-3000 and save your money. just get a tune-up (new plugs, wires, etc)

i say if anything pull the heads and have a valve job done it will sharpen up anything you have lost. just wait till it starts having problems to do the bottom end if your keeping it stock. i know of guys going 300k and still on the original short block. just dont change to a bigger cam on thase bearings and change the oil often
