What Is The Normal Operating Temp For A 97 Z28. Mine Seems To Bounce Back And Forth Between 180(the First Mark Above 160 On Temp Gauge?) And 210. Does Anybodys Temp. Do This Also. The Thermostat Opens, Fans Turn On If This Helps.

 

Spec says operating temps from 185 to 220. I advise getting a lower temp automatic fan switch to cut at least the primary on earlier.

 

For stop and go operation, that would be completely normal.

BTW, take off your caps lock.

 

A PCM tune can adjust your fan on/off temps as well. With the stock thermostat and tuning, my car runs around 185 or lower all the time, never sees above that.
