Talking Simple But Stupid Mistake

My fellow F-body drivers, you'll laugh when you hear this one. I've been writing on how I've been having a fuel problem with my car, but come to find out it was a spark problem. I've recently been having problems with my car burning up the MSD Blaster coils. So, last Thursday I purchased a AC Delco coil and installed it, I also changed every spark plug wire except for two of them on the passenger side. After doing all this, I started the car and it was shaking like crazy, missing very badly, and there was the major smell of gasoline coming out the exhaust. Well, when I was at the gym today, I thoght that maybe I mixed up the firing order when I changed the wires. Well, I jacked the car up, checked it out, and I had the #s 2 and 8 wires mixed up. Put the wires on righ, and the car runs like a champ. What a relief! I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake.

95% of the time, when people think they have a fuel problem, it usually turns out to be an ignition issue.

Glad to hear you found it quick. Free fixes are the best!
