Side mount ovtc
Side mount ovtc
Hello i bought the Side mount Over the valve cover wires from thunderracing and i was wondering if any one has done the side mounts before? I have seen alot of just otvc threads but not any on the side mount otvc ones or pics. Any help would be great. Thanks
I have the side mounted setup on my car. I would have gone with the top mount setup, but I have polished valvecovers. I had to buy some longer bolts to reach past my header flange. I also ground slightly on one of my header flanges, since it was partially blocking a bolt hole. They are kind of a pain, but I like the way they look.

I have the side mounts also from Made-For-You because I didn't want to cover up my valve covers. Once the headers are bolted up they should look kick ***!

I made my own side mounts out of a cheap Moroso kit that I picked up at autozone. I had to do a little modifying but personally I like them as I dont have to move my wires when opening up the valvecovers, and the $10 it cost me on clearance was pretty good. The cars in storage so I cant get ya pics now..
I got mine installed today.. I will get pics of the install. It was a pain in da ***, i would deff go with ovtc ones next time. Good news though I think I have finally solved my high rpm detonation. So now I am going to put my walbro pump in and then re-dyno the car. It pulls like a raped ape now. LOL it put a long needed smile back on my face, when it went sideways on the 1-2 shift.
I want to switch over to the side mounts myself since I purchased a nice set of chrome valve covers with the bowties on them.
