should i up grade injectors??
i just ordered a custom ground cc306 and a set of long tubes, along w/ the rest of my mods in sig, will i need to upgrade my injectors??

Assuming your nitrous kit is wet, the answer is no. But when you go with ported heads (along with the cam) you'll be closer to needing a bump up in injector size.
|
Are you replacing the springs???
The stock springs can't take the lift of that cam. Are you planning on porting the heads? The stock heads can't flow enough to do that cam justice. If your not porting the heads you would be better off with a CC305. The stock injectors will be fine with the cam you plan, you will need to have the ECU reprogramed for the cam. Once you port the heads I would go with 36 lb injectors. |
im gonna have them worked pretty soon here, just slowly gathering stuff then gonna give it to my head guy and tell him to go to town!

30lbers will more than do it for you when your heads are done. Other than that the stock ones can easily handle up to 400rwhp.

another option:
buy a AFPR and set it at 58psi with your stock injectors, and have the injector constant programmed at 30lb. trick the engine into thinking it has bigger injectors.... bryan at pcmforless recommended this to me. thats what i did anyway, it is good enough to trap 115mph.... jesse |
hey QCK....thats some nice a** trap speeds my man. What else you got in there?? If you can get a dead hook you probably can get into the 11's.

lloyd elliot ported stock heads, Xe224/230, various bolt ons, raceweight 3540lbs.
hopefully this season i will run high 11's. winter mods include: changing headers to longtubes with true duals 58mm TB 42lb SVO injectors (over kill) et streets :) jesse |
oops forgot to add my nitrous is a dry kit ( yup im a weenie) but you cant see any lines or the box.

You'll definitely need bigger injectors w/ a dry kit. A wet kit will add fuel w/ a separate nozzle whereas a dry kit relies on the injectors to introduce additional fuel into the chamber. On a 150dry, I'd go at least 36# injector and probably bump the fuel pressur e into the 50s just to be safe.

SLP has a great deal going on injectors right now
