Should i switch to vented opti or not ?

Well im gonna do a cam swap in December and im gonna replace my opti since it has around 100k miles on it . i was just wondering should i switch to a vented opti while im doing this or just say with a non vented.

sry i did not look this up but between school and work i dont have much free time

its not only the opti change if youre going to change to a vented one...

alot of other things, like timing cover and blah blah, i cant exactly remember what else, but theres alot to change... do a search :P

i think there is a company that does vented opti that will bolt on to pre 95s

The vented opti will be cheaper, but you will have to buy just a few more things. If your decide to change, make sure you get a cam that has the larger hole in the front.

I would do the water pump first.Maybe the opti(your choice).I'm still on the factory 107,000,but it will problably die next week.Hope this helps.

You mind as well change everything while u are at it. At least i was when i was gonna do my cam swap.

Waterpump
Timing Chain/Cover, Gear
Opti
with the vented opti, u need a 95+ harness, cover etc..

do a search and you'll find TONS of posts that lists everything

The company that offers the vented opti that will bolt right up to the pre 95's is dynotech www.dynotech-eng.com/dynaspark.htm it is $600
