You're not really talking about much power difference between catbacks. There have been several discussions and dyno back up proof that the flowmaster is *****. It's up to you on the power increase... you might and you might not pick up power. The sound difference is definately worth it. Magnaflow will have a nice mellow tone at idle and will let people know youre there when at WOT.

Yes, you should get magnaflow. I am completely satisfied. Like posted above, it is easy peasy at idle, but if you get into it you wont have a problem hearing it. If it isnt loud enough, do what myself and thousands of others have done, and but a 26$ 3 inch cutout, or the expensive electric one. Then, you can be mild or wild:-D. You wont be disappointed with the magnaflow, and with the cutout, you will definately pick up a few ponies, surely. Funny, before I did all the mods in my sig to my car, I had a gutted cat, and flowmaster muffler. Sounded pretty good.

A benefit of the Magnaflow over the Flowmaster is that it is stainless but the Flowmaster is going to be a little louder. The Magnaflow is pretty tame at idle and picks up an aggressive note at WOT.

I like mine. Its got a nice ballsy sound to it. Toss headers on and it gets even better.

Sound quality isnt the greatest, but it may help. Ignore the girly laugh towards the end.

Re: should I get magnaflow??

It should be a little bit quieter, but i mean my car is by no means quiet, and im running through a highflow cat. The flowmasters dont have any sound deadening material in them, just the chambers to make the sound how they do. The magnaflow has the sound deadening material in them, but people say 1/3 of the exhaust goes out the left tailpipe and 2/3s pretty much goes in and loops right back out to the right tailpipe..... meaning the right side will be louder but the left will have a deaper tone to it. Put them both together and you get some good flow and a nice sound.

I wouldn't count on that any longer.
From what I've read, several months ago I think Magnaflow redesigned their system so it was better balanced between the sides. (Evidentally this was a common complaint).
This may or may not also make it quieter.
