should i do this?

i have MAC 1 5/8 mid headers to 2.5" high flow y pipe to a 3" supercat and 3" single flowmaster catback w/ a 40 series muffler.
it sounds real mean right now at idle and high rpm....i was thinking of just sawz alling (cutting) an inch past the 3" supercat (thus cutting off my catback) and welding a bullet muffler on there? should i do this? pros and cons...will it sound good?

When you dump exhaust under the car you run the risk of it "resonanting" on the inside under normal driving/cruising conditions. Not saying that it WILL for sure, but be prepared for that just in case.

thanks...brent do think it will be too loud and not sound as good(raspy and annoying) as my catback and 40 series muffler? it sounds real nice now..if i did it i would aim the exhaust tip out towards the right lane.
