Shortys vs LTs...

ok i know all the arguments on HP differences between these, but i was dead set on LTs before today. seems the hooker LT's along with every other LT right now is on backorder.. and theres a set of shorties waitin at advanced auto, so whats the difference SOUND wise between lts and shorties? (1 5/8 primaries) worthy gain over stock manifolds anyways.. but the sound is my big concern and uncapped.. i have to drive it to the exhuast shop with no connection to the headers =/

Wait and get the longtubes. I'm sure you could find some pacesetters somewhere. If you go shorty's you will hate yourself later. I would go midlenghts before shorty. Go with the 1 3/4 primary at least

SLP midlengths are said to offer the same gains of long tubes and more ground clearance at the same time. No problems passing emissions either.
