Question Shoebox, Oil Pressure Sending Unit part#??

Hi,

Shoebox, if you're out there, could you please provide me with a part number and possible place to buy the part.
I'm in need of the connection that plugs into the oil pressure sending unit on my '96 TA. I found that my connection no longer has the wire connected to it. Since I am having my tranny pulled next week, I'll be able to install it.

Actually, if anybody knows where this wire leads to, that would be great because I haven't any idea.

Thank you,

Daniel

The connector for the oil pressure switch (sensor) is GM PART # 12085499 and is ACDelco #PT121.

The wire goes to the gauge on the cluster.

Did you need the sensor # too? GM PART # 10201491

Shoebox,

Where do I feed the wire? Does it go thru a spot in the firewall to the gauge cluster?

Thanks,

Daniel

It goes into the main engine harness on a tan wire and passes under the pcm through the large grommet in the firewall. It goes through C220 in cavity "B" (ignore the keyless receiver that you don't have on your 1996). Then on to the cluster connector on cavity "B16" for the Pontiac.

We now have oil pressure reading

The key words you gave me were "tan wire". That was more info given than I could imagine
