Shocks?

My brother wants to buy some new shocks for his 1995 Corvette. He is thinking about getting the Bilstein Xtremes that are made for autocross. What do ya'll think about those is there anyone running those on there Corvette or Camaro? He knows that the ride is going to be stiff but how stiff? He just drives it on the street but he really wants a good suspension. Need Feeback Please.

Probably not too stiff, but you'd do much better on a Vette board, since Bilsteins with Camaro springs and Camaro weight and Camaro suspension........ isn't the same ballgame.

Youre bros Vette should have come with Bilstiens (adjustable or not). If they are shot, he can send them back to Bilstein to be rebuilt. For basic auto x duty, can't beat that, on a Corvette anyways. If he's looking to tighten that car up, A larger front sway bar would do the trick. Going larger in the rear too might give it a little too much oversteer - Corvettes are front heavy with plent of power.

Also, he might want to lower the rear down an inch to balance it out a bit- all he needs is a $30 lowering kit.
