I am right in the middle of my insatll and so far i have the shock/spring assemble out of the car. It seems that one of the biggest problems is the top nut on the assembly. mine is rusted but everything turns ok. My questions is before i dissasemble this, i read something about having to draw a line on the old spring so it will line up??? Is this step nessecarry if i am replacing the stock one with a new one?

as for that nut on top...most people cant ever get it off. i had to take mine to a shop so they could cut it off with a torch. if you can remember how teh spring came off of the shock, then theres no need to draw a line...but it could be helpful
