Question Shift problems after 3200 stall install

Alright i got a vig 3200 stall and my tranny rebuilt and when i got it put in i took it for a ride and it shifts fine but when i really get on it it's fine first to second to third but when it's in third on the dyno it kinda felt like it downshifted but then went up to redline...it looked like on the dyno sheet that i was getting power up until 4500 then it dropped way off until it hit rev limiter I am going to do the lt1edit next week. Would the computer have anything to do with this? It drives fine off of the rollers but when on the dyno it doesn't seem to work right...any input appreciated.

OBD1 cars have problems with stalls over 2800.

you need programming

That's what i thought and i was hoping someone else would say. Yeah the place i went to Eastside Performance mainly deals with LS1's so they only have the 4 pack of edit for the lt1 so i hafta wait until monday or tuesday till they can do mine. It hasn't thrown a code or anything like some people said it would so i didn't know if it was the computer or not. All i know is that the 3200 stall is great

I never had the OBDI problem on the dyno, only on the track on a stalled launch, off idle I was fine.

Check the lockup function, sounds like to me there might be a problem, but there might be more than that if it is "straighlining" to redline....

i mean it doesn't straightline to the redline. It feels like it downshifts then it goes back to normal. It's hard to explain but when it's about to redline it goes back down to 4500 then goes to redline normal. I have the guys at east side performance doing the lt1edit monday.

Sounds like the Lock up function.
Do you have any scan tools? That can tell you when lock up is occuring?
If you have a stock tune then the LU is taking place in 3rd gear at 95MPH, or sooner, depending what is in the tables, and I dont remember the stock MPH flag.
But it would 'feel' odd on the dyno depending on alot of variables.
