Shampoo cap for Resonator plug..

Which shampoo cap did you use to plug your resonator? I can't find one that fits well enough.. their all too small, or too fat. Thanks

I've got a couple bottles in the shower right now that should fit perfectly. I'll go look and see what kind they are. I've heard that the Pert bottle caps work good as well.

Edit: Pantene Pro-V. Shampoo or conditioner, one of them looks like a better fit. Can't remember which one though, and I don't want to go back downstairs.

No problem. Those bottles are expensive though, as far a shampoo goes.

Although they fit, I personally wouldn't use one. I don't want to take the chance of it getting sucked into the throttle body. You can buy the 1LE intake (I think) that gets rid of it. It's up to you I guess. If I didn't want to keep my Z stock looking I'd probably go for the shampoo bottle. I may need to sell mine someday, and with only 36,000 miles I figure I'll keep it pretty much stock, although I would like to add headers. Want to buy her?

I agree. The 1LE is the way to go.

How would it get sucked in? I'm assuming the shampoo cap is larger than the hole and just taped around... Has this happened to any body?

I mean using a shampoo cap that is slightly smaller then the hole. So it would fit right up in there to become level with the rest of the intake elbow thus smoothing it out. I don't think taping one to the outside would do anything.. there would still be a hole in the intake which would still cause turbulance.

I tried this with an Herbal Essence bottle once, it fell out after a couple weeks and caused a massive vacuum leak so I just put the tube back in. I don't think it being sucked into the intake should be a problem, even if it does its not going anywhere, too big to get in the TB I believe.

It's called Peroxyl.. Usually kind of hard to find. Wonderful stuff, you should try it

You could do any of those. Me, even though I couldn't really see it I'd know it's there and think it's kind of trashy/ghetto. Go for it though if you like. How much is the 1LE elbow these days?
