SFC's...Kenny Brown or SLP???

I'm getting ready to order some.

Can't decide which ones.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks

I think the SLP subframes were one of the biggest PITA installs I've done. Mine were bolt in, but I can't imagine having to weld them in. I don't think my frame is that tweaked but if yours is not dead on, they won't line up (probably neither will any 3 point) perfectly. The critical thing is to make sure the frame mounting point for the LCAs is perfectly straight and flat.

I'm sure they weren't any worse than any other 3 point subframe install though. I'm sure the two are just about equal, but the SLPs looked beefier to me.

I got my double diamond SFCs from www.Sybersport.com

They are Kenny Brown knockoffs basically.

$186 shipped to your door.

Greatly improved the handling of the car.

Email Darren: info@sybersport.com and tell him Grip sent you.

So which is the lighter of the two?

I have noticed that with the SLP subs you don't lose any ground clearance, but you do with the Kenny Brown.

I beg to differ, lol.

You can even see them from the side of my car. I'd say I lost about an inch on each side.

It must depend on mounting then, because I've seen a Z28 in person and there was ZERO loss of ground clearance.

I have had SLP weld ins for about 5 years and they are pretty nice. However you will sacrifice about 1 inch of clearance and there is no way you can avoid it.

Take a look

These are pretty beefy units and I had mine welded in by a body shop where I used to live. This was an additional $100 over the cost of the subs. The difference with the welded in subs was very notable.
